Youth Empowerment

Creating safe spaces for young people to learn and thrive.

Big dreams, big doors, big steps,

Questscope supports young people and families to build skills, earn income, and grow in confidence. Through training, mentorship, and real opportunities, people begin to take ownership of their work, their voice, and their future.

We launched a Youth Center in the Zaatari Refugee Camp with outreach to 2,200 youth, led by a core team of 30 visionary Syrian volunteers.

Tasneem now leads the room

Tasneem, 19, came in with ideas but kept them to herself.

In art workshops, she started sharing her work. Then she stayed longer. Then she began helping others.

Now she mentors new participants—walking them through the same first steps she once took.

She found her voice.

Now she helps others find theirs.

Sham plays—and others follow

At 15, Sham chose to learn music in a space where that choice wasn’t always supported.

She kept showing up. Kept practicing.

Now she plays with confidence—and teaches others to do the same.

Her presence changes what younger girls believe is possible.

Buthaina built something of her own

At 19, Buthaina started baking from her family’s kitchen.

Through NAJAHNA, she learned how to run a business—how to price, sell, and grow.

Now her work brings in income.

And people around her are paying attention.

She built something that works.

Others are starting to believe they can too.

Putting the last first

Leadership starts by shifting who gets to be seen and heard.

Young people aren’t kept on the sidelines. They step into spaces where their ideas matter, their work is respected, and their voice carries weight—alongside partners and leaders shaping communities across the region and beyond.

They’re not just learning.

They’re contributing.

They’re leading in rooms they weren’t always invited into.

Who they’re connected to

This work is strengthened by partners who invest their time, knowledge, and presence:

  • United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
  • Play for Change Foundation & Dream Day Foundation
  • Lens on Life & Canon
  • Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI)
  • Terre des Hommes
  • Canadian Embassy
  • Syrian Society for Social Development
  • Jordan Ministries of Education & Social Development

Together, these relationships create opportunities that reach further—connecting young people to new skills, new networks, and new ways forward.
